What Is The Airbrush Spray Tan?

The airbrush spray tan relies on a system that includes a portable unit with all the adjacent equipment necessary for the tanning procedure: exfoliants, moisturizers, air brush tanning solution, air brush compressors and tan extenders. Each of these elements have a special part in the skin treatment, and the resulting beautiful tan will not wear off before a week or ten days. Comparable with tanning booth solutions, the airbrush spray tan uses the same type of tanning agents but different spraying devices. While the booth is automatic, the compressor is operated by a technician that atomizes the bronzer on your body.

The eyes, the lips and the nose should be protected during the airbrush spray tan, even if the process does not take more than one minute to complete. The tanning effects will appear within a few hours after the application, but you should not shower during this interval in order to keep the active agents on the skin surface. Body exfoliation will improve the quality of the tan if you perform it before applying the tanner. Therefore, make sure to remove the dead skin cells that could cause staining or streaking, and thus spoil the tanned look.

Fake suntan does not act as a protection against the ultraviolets, and even if the airbrush spray tan solution contains a complex cocktail of substances, it has no protective function whatsoever. You will still need a sunscreen when you go outdoors, in order to protect yourself against the harmful impact of the sun rays. This is the safe way to take care of your skin, because natural skin protection comes with melanin secretion which is absent in the artificial tan. Sunburn protection is only achieved through sunscreen application under such circumstances. Skin health therefore equals a good look and youth at the same time.

From this perspective sun exposure proves inferior to airbrush spray tan. Studies claim that there is no toxicity at all in the tanning agents, however, caution is recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers. So far, there are no conclusive studies on the impact of DHA on small infants and unbron babies. Otherwise, airbrush spray tan brings the advantage of browning the skin quickly without the risks of sunburn. Moreover, there will be no wrinkles or skin dryness: just a nice looking skin!
